To our Benders
Happy New Year to you all. Hopefully this finds everyone well and your holidays were the best ever.
During our few weeks of down time, Mark and I spent time refinishing the floors in the tasting room and painting. I wish I could say that we spent it on the beach in Hawaii but that wasn’t the case. We are excited to announce that our first 2010 Wine Competition of the year “San Francisco Chronicle” gave Scribner Bend our 1st Gold of the year on our 2007 Cabernet Franc and a Silver on our new “Vino De Postre”, “Great Job Bill”.
We are all looking forward to Valentine’s weekend with our famous, best ever dark and white chocolate strawberries, which we will be serving with our “Vino De Postre” Port. Please come visit and enjoy this special time with us, we’ll have the fireplace on in the Tuscan room for you to enjoy.
Now on to some employee news; Our bookkeeper Kim and her husband returned from a wonderful trip to South Africa with their church. She has lots of great stories of their safari trip plus more to tell, and hold on to your hat, Mairi is at it again with great idea’s for 2010, including our 1st ever wedding show, “Glitz & Glamour” for all our perspective brides, while Mark and Bill our mad scientists are dreaming up new ideas for wines.
We just participated in our first event of the year, “Make a Wish” where we poured and donated to support their great cause. We recently donated cases of our “Sinfonico Symphony” to the Camellia Symphony to help support this talented group, that Sacramento is very proud of.
