I still feel this way even after the rain hit us on our wedding day. We were definitely in good hands. Scribner Bend had Plan B ready for me and I trusted everything would be perfect, and then.. It WAS!!

Mairi is such a wonderful women that takes care of every bride. She makes the ride and wedding planning very smooth, comfortable for every bride. I would love to have more events to come at Scribner. I enjoyed observing the excellent attention to detail and professional and friendly work ethic they had. THERE IS A VERY POWERFUL VIBE OF ENERGY AND SCRIBNER… We were very happy.

If there was ever a wedding day oasis, Scribner Bend Vineyards is it. Chuck and I had a pretty good idea of what we were looking for in a September wedding venue, but agreed it had to “feel” right. We’d been searching in the Sacramento region for a long time. Whilewe almost “settled”on a very nice place in the area,in our heart of hearts,we knew the right place for us could be just around the corner.We extended our search and discovered Scribner Bend Vineyards. Not only is it a stunning location for a wedding, the people at Scribner Bend: the owners, Mark and Lorraine, event director, Mairi,Vineyard employees etc., are all so kind, friendlyand eager to help. They treated—and continue to treat–Chuck andIlike old friends, if not family. While Scribner Bend is every bit a ‘working’ vineyard—producing some excellent wines by the way–every ambient wedding detail has been carefully thought through and implemented. In September, the sidewalk arches were covered with white rose vines and lighted in the evening. There were a number of vine draped wedding trellises, beautiful fountains and a huge ancient oak that shaded the wine tasting/Tuscan room ‘barn’ building—as well as the “wine garden” (where we held our ceremony) and the adjacent area where our guests enjoyed wine and hors d’ oeuvres after the ceremony.These latter areas wereringed in productive grape vines and also elegantly lighted in the evening. The cool breeze off the Sacramento River kept everyone comfortable in our warm September Sacramento weather. Our reception was held in yet another beautiful grassy area on the other side of the “barn”, also ringed by grape vines and accented with a cobblestone dance floor/seating area. Any number of ceremony/reception set-up options is possible at Scribner Bend. The right one is up to you, the bride and groom.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mairi McGinnis.  From beginning to end she was extraordinarily helpful and supportive without being overbearing or pushy.

From day one she freely and graciously shared her wealth of wedding planning experience, knowledge, helpful tips, ideas and potential vendor resources. We had no doubt Mairi knew what she was doing. She understood that no two weddings, nor couples for that matter, are the same and genuinely listened and got to know us before suggesting various ideas and options that she felt would meet our needs. She was flexible, with a ‘can do’ spirit and was clearly invested in making sure our wedding day was well coordinated, organized and stress free for us.She worked wonderfully with all our vendors and as far as I know, there were absolutely no problems. Our friends and family have told us again and again how beautiful and well organized our wedding was. But for our‘surprise’ ring bearer—my sister’s retriever-mix dog, Sandy—we might not have had any wedding ‘stories’ to tell. OK, the bride was a tad latebut through no fault of Mairi’s.  Everything at Scribner Bend Vineyards was perfect!!!

Our experience at Scribner Bend was amazing. The location is absolutely beautiful and we knew as soon as we drove up to the property that this was the place we had to have our wedding at. The location is intimate and comfortable with amazing views of the vineyards, a charming old barn converted to a wine room, and a spectacular sunset over the reception site! With such a beautiful location we knew we were guaranteed to have gorgeous pictures.

The staff and our vendors were amazing. Mairi and her staff were warm and welcoming. We never had to worry about set up or tear down because they were so on top of it! This made for a stress free day, not only for us, but our families. If it wasn’t for Mairi we would have probably forgot to cut the cake and sign the marriage license.

The whole experience was prefect from the start of the ceremony to the last dance of night. We had several guests tell us that this was one of the best weddings they had ever been to, and we truly believe that it was due to the great staff and venue. We would highly recommend Scribner Bend to anyone getting married or looking for a place to hold an event.

Scribner Bend was and is one of the most beautiful wedding venues not only in Sacramento, but in all of Northern California. When we started our search for the perfect venue, we had quite a wish list. Scribner bend was the only one that provided us with everything that we were looking for, and then more. The absolutely beautiful views, the intimate setting, and the first class service were what really propelled Scribner bend over all other venues. From day one, Mairi made us feel welcome, and she gave us the confidence to put her in charge of the most important day of our lives. We could not have picked a better place to get married.  Mairi and her staff were wonderful at getting everything organized and putting our minds at ease.  They took the time and patience to listen and answer all our questions.  Even when there was a family emergency days before our wedding Lorraine was able to step in and help with all the last minute details.  Our day was absolutely perfect! Everything looked beautiful and everything ran smoothly. We worried about nothing (except for standing up in front of all our guests).  Our guests all commented about how beautiful the grounds at Scribner Bend are.

Scribner Bend Vineyard is a beautiful venue with a fantastic staff. The vineyards surrounded us and our guests for ceremony and reception making the ambience feel comfortable and warm. They allow tents at the venue which we had that adds even more character to the venue. With the linen swooping across the top and chandeliers hanging added a romantic and elegant feeling during the reception. Mairi, the wedding coordinator, as well as the staff, did everything possible to our wedding a flawless, easy flowing, and gorgeous evening. Our wedding was absolutely perfect!

Mairi absolutely made the wedding come together and took care of details behind the scenes I cannot thank her more! The winery owners were very friendly and have a beautiful property, everyone at the wedding raved about the location and the wines! We looked at about 20 wineries within 1 1/2 hours of downtown Sacramento, and had almost given up until we saw Scribner Bend, it was everything we wanted and couldn’t be happier with our choice.

From the day I first visited the Scribner Bend Winery, to when Mark and Lorraine Scribner congratulated us with a heartfelt hug on we could have never pictured a more perfect wedding experience.

Every moment of our wedding, the planning, the toasting of our “I do’s”, the last guest walking off the grounds- Scribner Bend Winery took such wonderful care of us. When I first walked onto the grounds of Scribner Bend, I knew that was the place I wanted to share my vows. I was so excited to find out my husband agreed! There was some special history there, we could tell. It was a place we could spend the evening celebrating with love, warmth, and our families. Jeremy and I couldn’t have asked for anything more of the family of Scribner Bend Winery. They opened their doors and helped make our wedding day the most beautiful moment we could have ever imagined.

Even now, when we visit the winery, we are always met with a smile and a hug. Mark and Lorraine invite us to events throughout the year and still make us feel like family, 6 months later. We could not have picked a better place to have our wedding.
